TravWell by the CDC
This app catches our attention because it not only has incredibly helpful features that aid with travel safety, but it also has features that can be accessed in remote areas without a WIFI connection. Some of our favorite features include the ability to store your travel documents, find emergency numbers for any country, and even store your immunization and medication records. TravWell is definitely worth a look, even if you only use the customizable packing and to do list!

2016 Yellow Book by the CDC
There is now an app-based version of the international travel guide issued by the CDC biannually. Per their website:
“CDC Health Information for International Travel (commonly called the Yellow Book) is published every two years by CDC as a reference for those who advise international travelers about health risks. The Yellow Book is written primarily for health professionals, although others will find it useful.”
This Yellow Book app even comes with maps, and might be an instrumental travel research resource for anyone with special medical considerations, or who is traveling with a small child. This tool distills a nearly 700 page book into an easy-to-use resource you can keep in your pocket.
