Kara received a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University in 2019 after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology from Texas A&M University. Kara describes her approach to patient care as balanced, and this is due in part to her unique educational background. Kara enjoys women’s health and working with all patients from newborn through adulthood. Her favorite part of the medical profession is building relationships with patients and working together with them to achieve their health goals. She is an advocate for the LGBTQ community and describes herself as identity affirming.

Kara enjoys playing soccer and spending time with her three sons and her two dogs. Her favorite motto reflects her approach to her life and to patient care, “Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.” – Soren Kierkegaard
