You may not know her by name, but if you’ve visited River Bend Medical Associates before, then there’s a good chance you’ve spoken to Olivia Garcia, our Communications Liaison and Quality Management Analyst.
Olivia spends much of her time being mom to her two year old son. But somehow, she still finds time between home and work to serve as a member of the West Sacramento, Natomas, and Sacramento Rainbow Chambers of Commerce (she is also an ambassador of the Rainbow Chamber). In the little spare time that she has left, Olivia enjoys spending time outdoors with her son, participating in community events, and visiting Sacramento’s many museums.
Olivia’s job is to do whatever she can to improve the level of service we provide to our patients.
There are a variety of ways in which she can help connect you to the care you need from our practice, and her fluency in both Spanish and English go a long ways towards helping to serve our multilingual community. Just a few of the things she can help with include:
- Choosing a doctor for you or a family member
- Addressing issues with providers or staff
- Answering questions about office processes
- Finding triage providers who can evaluate you in an emergency or when your normal practitioner is unavailable
- Dealing with personal crises
- Hearing complaints, concerns, or suggestions
But Olivia’s ability to help our patients isn’t limited to your medical care.
Medical care is often connected to a variety of other vital family concerns, such as finances, senior issues, mental health, and so on. Olivia maintains an ever-growing resource list that can help to connect you to a variety of local Sacramento resources that can provide assistance with:
- Insurance plans
- Mental health
- Senior Resources
- Financial service and advisement
- Dental care
- Community resources
- Family well-being
- Gyms and fitness club memberships
All of these resources are organizations and businesses that we have connected with and found to be useful. For those who speak Spanish, Hmong, Russian, Portuguese, or Tagalog, or who have family members who speak these languages, Olivia can help to connect you with resources which meet these lingual needs.
Olivia is an indispensable part of the River Bend family, and we hope that you’ll make good use of her extensive knowledge and access to resources. Even if you don’t need assistance, be sure to say hello. Also, if you happen to know of resources that you think would be useful to our patients, please be sure to pass your recommendation along to Olivia.
Olivia Garcia can be reached at ogarcia@rbmafamilydocs.com, or by calling (916) 392-4086. If you call, she may not be immediately available, but please leave a voicemail and she will return your call as soon as possible.
