We are happy to announce that we are adding a new practitioner to our River Bend Medical Associates team at our Greenhaven location in South Land Park. Dr. Kristian Borofka attended medical school at Touro University California after having completed her B.S. in Biochemistry at Santa Clara University.
Dr. Borofka was born and raised in Clovis, California, 3 hours south of Sacramento. Her love and interest in medicine began long before her higher education; she was diagnosed with Celiac’s disease (an autoimmune disorder related to a common food product-gluten) at age 16. This inspired her life-long interest in the interplay between lifestyle changes and physical and emotional health.
While in medical school and residency Dr. Borofka’s passions grew to encompass LGBTQ+, geriatric, and women’s health issues. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, knitting, exercising, swimming, and cooking.
Dr. Borofka’s favorite part of medical practice is establishing relationships with her patients and families, and helping individuals better understand and manage their own health. Dr. Borofka provides care to patients of all ages and her goal is to partner with her patients to improve their health and well-being. She is enthusiastic about accepting new patients and their families and is looking forward to helping her patients as part of the River Bend Medical Associates team.
