December 1st is World Aids Day. River Bend Medical Associates joins in solidarity with our community to show support to the millions of people living with HIV/AIDS, commemorate those we have lost, raise awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS, and celebrate the victories that are allowing more people to live longer healthier lives.
Founded in 1988, World Aids Day was the first-ever global health day. Each year, individuals and organizations around the world work to bring attention to the HIV epidemic. The theme for this year’s observance is “Ending the HIV Epidemic: Equitable Access, Everyone’s Voice”. A campaign to increase HIV awareness and understanding, encourage people to speak out against HIV stigma and call for an increased response to move toward Ending the HIV Epidemic in America.
At River Bend Medical Associates our progressive, sensitive, and culturally diverse team is committed to delivering compassionate health care and promoting the well-being of our patients, employees, and the communities we serve. When providing services to members of our local community, our goal is for our patients to feel secure in discussing any issue of medical concern including HIV/AIDS with their River Bend practitioner. As part of your medical team, we are here to provide you with the best care in all aspects of your health care needs.
